A new subsidy programme, the "Induction Drug Treatment Subsidy for Kidney Transplantation", is in place since 1st August 2010 to support induction drug treatment for children undergoing kidney transplantation, so that patients may use less hormone supplement after the operations and attain longer survival of the transplanted graft kidneys. Full cost of the treatment will be paid by the Children's Kidney Trust Fund with no means test required for the patients adopting the treatment. For details, please refer to the updated Guidelines on Subsidies/Allowances for Children Kidney Patients.
